Lufthansa Pilot Strike

You would know it. The pilots of Lufthansa are on strike, which adds extra worry to the start of our trip. We are scheduled to fly out tomorrow and believe that the international flight will go. But what will happen when we land in Munich to transfer to the flight to Cape Town? Who knows?? Nothing has been re-booked for us, so keep your fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly.

The joy of travel is that no matter how much you plan ahead, you have to be prepared and flexible! I'll just keep thinking hakuna matata...

Map of Entire Journey

One week from today we will be sitting in the Munich airport ready to start the second leg of a long air journey to our adventure. The bags are half packed and the excitement is building. Here is the Regent map of the entire journey along with a picture of the Regent Navigator, our new home for over a month.

On November 26, we fly out for an incredible African adventure. After a short safari at Amakhala Game Reserve, which is located in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa near Port Elizabeth,  we board Regent Navigator in Cape Town for ports in Western Africa that we never in a lifetime thought we would visit. We invite you to share our journey,

We will blog our way across the Atlantic all the way home to Miami. There may be times when the Internet is down or the schedule is just too hectic for daily blogging, but hakuna matata (no worries) we'll catch up on sea days.
