After a one night rest stop in Cape Town, we flew to Port
Elizabeth to begin our safari experience. The Safari Lodge is about an hour
west of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, It’s a private game reserve that
once was farmland.
Woke up this morning
to friends outside our window. Two monkeys came over the roof to join two large
kudu bucks grooming and munching right beyond our plunge pool. As soon as it starts to get light, the birds begin
their chorus.
During our two-night stay, we experienced four game drives
and saw some great animals. Meet Norman, the 73 year old elephant, that is being protected on the Reserve.
More animal photos to come.
